Carl Spear, OD
Dr. Spear did his undergraduate work at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for Optometry School and went on to Northeastern State University - College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma for his residency.
Dr. Spear is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association and the Armed Forces Optometric Society. His special appointments include Adjunct Assistant Professor at Northeastern State University College of Optometry and the University of Waterloo School of Optometry.
Dr. Spear's ophthalmic specialty is Treatment and Management, Pre and Post Operative Management of: Refractive Surgery, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma Surgery, Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Laser Surgery. His research interests are Ophthalmic Pharmaceuticals and New and Emerging Ophthalmic Technologies. Having several articles published, Dr. Spear also gives numerous lectures throughout the U.S. and Canada on a wide variety of topics including: Laser Therapy, Systemic Medications, Treatment and Management of Ocular Diseases.

Dustin Grubbs, OD
Dr. Dustin Grubbs has been practicing in north west Florida for five years. A native of Citronelle, Alabama. Dr. Grubbs attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for his undergraduate and Optometry degrees. He received honors in both programs.
Dr. Grubbs is a member of the American Optometric Association, West Florida Optometric Association and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. His honors include the Wesley-Jessen Contact Lens Award and the Omega Award for Clinical Excellence.
Dr. Grubbs provides comprehensive eye care including treatment and management of glaucoma, pre and post-operative cataracts, eye infections, minor eye injuries, and the fitting of contact lenses and glasses. He fits many bifocal, RGP (hard contact lenses), and challenging toric (astigmatism) contact lens patients.

Neil Hook, OD
Dr. Hook was raised in the Navarre area and is a graduate of Fort Walton Beach High School, Class of 1991. He furthered his education by receiving his Associate of Arts degree at Okaloosa-Walton College and his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of West Florida in 1997. Dr. Hook then moved to Fort Lauderdale to atttend Nova Southeastern University's College of Optometry where he received his Doctorate of Optometry in 2004.
Dr. Hook provides comprehensive eye care including treatment and management of glaucoma, pre and post-operative cataracts, eye infections, minor eye injuries, and the prescribing of contact lenses and glasses.
Dr. Hook's certifications include the National Board of Examiners in Optometry(NBEO) Parts I, II and III, the Treatment and Management of Ocular Diseases (TMOD) exam and is board certified by both the Florida and Alabama Boards of Optometry. Dr. Hook is also a member of the American Optometric Association's Cornea and Contact Lens Section, Sports Vision section, Florida Optometric Association, and the West Florida Optometric Association.
He is current President of the West Florida Optometric Association and is also a member of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Hook is also involved in mission trips to Honduras. These trips involve providing eye care to the local people of Guanaja.

Troy Bell, OD

Dr. Bell comes to Navarre Family Eye Care from Jacksonville, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama and his doctorate from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Bell is a current member of the West Florida Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. He's been a participant in a number of contact lens research studies.
Dr. Bell provides comprehensive eye care, including full-scope management of ocular infection, inflammation, and ocular trauma, He manages patients' primary eye care health, including diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, anterior and posterior segment disease, pre & post-operative care, computer vision syndrome, sports vision, and provides patients with "difficult to fit" contact lenses.
